Travel with your pets!

I bought this Pet Stroller to make traveling with my service dog and cat easier to manage with all the necessary carry-ons in airports. It can handle 75 lbs of weight – sufficient to carry my laptop, duffel bag, cat carrier, diabetic supplies and purse. Some of those gates are pretty far apart!

When boarding the plane the stroller folds down like a baby stroller and if you have a strap – wrap it to tighten it down and keep folded. The airline will tag it there and put it in baggage and bring it out again to meet you as you get off the plane. That way you only have to manage carrying everything for but a short distance to your seat.

You can carry “travel” friendly pet supplies like a folding litter box, puppy potty pads, folding pet bowls easily in the cat carrier with the cat. Cheaper airlines have less space under the seats so I bought the shortest soft cat carrier available called “JetBlue JetPaws Carrier” (currently unavailable from Amazon but here’s the link to buy direct https://shopjetblue.com/more/pets/lucky-dog-jetpaws-carrier-3.html ) and took my cat to the vet in it to get her opinion as my cat was quite large. She said the cat can lay down for the flight and be just fine. Get the vet exams and vaccine certifications for traveling to present to airlines. It’s a good idea to get your reservations first as the vet will need to indicate the departure and return times as well as where you will be staying on the certification form.

Since I live in Sun City, AZ where I can walk the neighborhood all the year around, I am using it to take my cat along with with my service dog on our daily walks. The service dog walking skills are the same as using a shopping cart. I need either a cane, crutch, or stroller to be steady on my feet and I can walk faster for my health with this pet stroller. Plus, my cat gets an “outing” to see the neighborhood without fear of dogs chasing her.

Those of us with service animals need to keep our animals with us when we travel. Those with pets have more options like boarding at home with a pet sitter or leaving with family, friends, or a pet hotel. Others have hard airline approved cargo carriers for having pets fly in cargo. I think it is best to to keep “the entire family” together while traveling, whether that be by car, cruise, RV, train, or airline.
